I'm getting a root canal done on wednesday , my doctor cleaned my abscessed tooth ( i've been going back and forth for 2 weeks now) .. so today he again applied a sanitizing solution into the tooth before the root canal , but it hurts more than last time .. i feel some pressure on the gum , he keeps putting stuff in and out , is it possible that the thingy he applies went further into the gum or is this slight pain normal??? I'm really concerned about the abscess coming back thank you

  • You don't need to worry, the solution is just used to disinfect the canals. Though it is hurting but will help in succesfull RCT. The pain during RCT is due to the abscess that you had. After the successful completion of the procedure there will be no pain.
