  • The best way to treat bad breath is to brush your teeth after every meal. Doing so will kill off any bacteria that may have made their way into your mouth and prevent any from forming on food that may get stuck in your teeth.Mix about 2 tablespoons of salt in an 8-ounce glass of warm water. Gargle the mixture at least twice a day to kill bacteria in your mouth that cause bad breath. One of the easiest ways to freshen breath while you are on the go is to chew on mint leaves. After only a few minutes, your breath will be temporarily fresh, but remember to brush your teeth still when you have a chance.Make sure to eat foods that are high in zinc if you have bad breath regularly. This will keep the anaerobic bacteria in your mouth in check and get rid of bad breath. Some examples of foods that are high in zinc include oysters, lean beef and sesame seeds.
