I just had three teeth extracted on Tuesday may 26th and a permanent bridge placed the same day and I am wondering what the chances of it getting a dry socket since the holes are covered

  • Normally after toothe extraction, permanent bridges are not given immediately. If we have give then the removable partial dentures are given till the healing is completed and the bone is properly rounded off. Since you are saying that is if fixed bridge, then definately when healing takes place, the bone shirnks and the gap will be there between fixed bridge and alveolar ridge and it create problem afterwards also. Right now if you concerned about dry socket then maintain very good oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses and take care food impaction is not there. Take your meds regularly. for more info on bridges you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-crowns-bridges-22.aspx
