I had my tongue pierced for the last ten months and I took it out three days ago because it was swollen and I noticed it was pushing my lower teeth forward because of the pressure from the lower ball. now I have pain across my lower gums on the outside and for the last two days my tongue has been numb and tingling. could this be a serious problem?

  • If the tongue is swollen and there pain  and tingling sensation then it can be infection. It is better you should visit a dentist as infectin can increase. Till then do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day and you can use some antibacterial mouthwash also and maintaing good oral hygiene and donot irritate that area. for more info on tongue piercing you can check this article.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-tongue-piercing-79.aspx
