I am a couple weeks away from being 16. My incoming bottom-right wisdom tooth has something on top of it. The thing feels like a tooth. It doesn't look like a tooth though. It is attached but I can wiggle it a lot like a loose tooth when I was little. It doesn't hurt. It looks like it might be there just to kind of get through the gum. Is this normal?

  • It must be the soft tissue above the wisdom tooth which is bothering you. On the wisdom tooth there is gum which gets fibrosed because of repeated trauma and as the tooth is erupting it becomes loose. When the tooth will fully erupt it will receed. If it is bothering you toot much then go to your dentist and get it removed surgically.
