On my last visit my dentist found a cavity in one of my wisdom teeth and said it was too difficult to fill and would have to be pulled. He gave me the choice of waiting until it bothers me before pulling it. Is there anyway to inhibit decay outside of regular daily dental hygeine?

  • Normally cavity is formed in the wisdom tooth as it is difficult to clean that area. Normally it is not very deep and simple filling can be done by dentist and dentist normally does that. But if it cannot be done at all, the be very particular to clean that area. You can use smally head brush so that it reaches that area and food impaction is not there. You can use mouth rinses also. You can take 2nd opinion from another dentist also. for more info on wisdom teeth you can check this article... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-wisdom-teeth-47.aspx
