It has been swollen for 3 days, the swelling has gone down but the pain is worse. I have not gotten my wisdom teeth removed because they just started coming in.

  • This gum swelling can be due to some gum problem or it can be due to erupting wisdom tooth. for this you have to visit a dentist and get xrays done to find out the cause. Sometimes when the space for eruption of wisdom teeth is less, they become impacted and cause gum problem in that area. It cab be because of eruption of wisdom tooth and this condition is called pericoronitis. The treatment varies according to cause. So schedule an appointment and get the treatment done. Till then you can do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day and maintain good oral hygiene. for more info on wisdom teeth problems you can check this link in our website... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-wisdom-teeth-47.aspx
