My son Isaac was going down a water slide and impacted his front permanent tooth inside his gums.Isaac has trauma to his gums and swelling all around. We took Isaac to ER but were recommended to see a dentist or oral surgeon. PLEASE HELP.

  • You have not mentioned the age of your son. By knowing the age we will come to know about the stage of development of the root. The root of the front permanent tooth is completed by the age of 10 years. The treatment plan depends upon that. It is better you visit a dentist. The dentist will do the clinical examination and take the x-ray to see the root development.  For swelling and pain you can make him do warm saline rinses and can give him some pain killer.
