  • If there is no cavity and pain is at the edge of the gum then pain definitely is due to gum infection. But antibiotics alone will not servethe purpose. You have to find out the cause and get the treatment. It can be the deposits which needs cleaning or the poor oral hygeine. If the cause is not removed the pain will reoccur. that has happened in your case. Go to the dentist and get the proper treatment done. TIll  then you can do warm saline rinses and maintain good oral hygeine.
