Hi! I got a root canal treatment started today. It was extracted and filled with medicine, with a temporary filling fitted. But I can't bite down, the fillling is just too much and it feels like I'll break the tooth. There's so much filling I can't bite down with the opposite side either. Are temporary fillings ment to be that bulky?

  • Ideally when root canal treatment is started and the medicine is put with temporary filling ,the tooth should not come in contact with the opposite side. If you feel that it is high then you can go to your dentist and get it reduced. If the temporary filling is high it puts lot of pressure on the tooth and healing is delayed. so visit your dentist and tell him the problem.
