swoolen gums and my face was also swollen because of my gums that has pus. I took cephalexin but it has no effect yet ..

  • If the swelling in the gums and pain is because of gum infection then you have to go for the gum treatment which is deep scaling and root planning or the flap surgery. The choice of treatment depends upon the extent of infection. But if it is because of the decayed tooth which can also cause gum infection then you have to get the root canal treatment done. But before that you have to visit the dentist and get the proper diagsis made. You have to take proper dose of antibiotics for the prescribed time. Only then the antibiotics are effective.
