5 days ago, I had 24 teeth removed from my mouth while under General Anesthesia, for the purpose of dentures. They stitches were extremely tight, and seemed to be the only thing causing me pain. I cut the stitches out myself because my mouth looked like it was healing well, but very swollen around the stiches. I am now worried that maybe this was a mistake, because on the left hand side, it seems one of the holes are still pretty large and I can feel something sharp.

  • You should not remove the stitches your self. Usually there is no need to remove the stitches. they dissolve them selves but if they are the other type which need to be removed then they are also removed after 7 days. Now if the problem is still there then go to the dentist. Maintain very good oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day.
