I had a abcess on my canine tooth which had root canal and a cap. Dentist said it had to be pulled, went through antibiotics and every thing is fine. The tooth is strong, I have a partial connected to it. An implant is recommended, it would be a hardship to come up with such an expensive procedure. Can I keep my canine?

  • If the tooth had an abcess it means that the tooth is infected. As this tooth is already root canal treated so the X-ray has to be taken to see whether the tooth can be re root canaled or not. In such cases if you are really keen on saving the tooth and the tooth is not mobile with enough bone support then we opt for re root canal though prognosis is not very good. The prognosis of ro root canal depends upon the case selection. So visit your dentist and discuss with him the treatment options. To know more about re root canal treatment you can visit the following link on our website....
