I have a broken tooth that has been froken for at least a few years, it used to hurt but rarely does now. At this point the gum has begun to grow over it. I am 19 weeks pregnant and am not sure if I could get the extraction or not because of potential complications that may lead to a need to take medications that would affect the baby. I really don't want to take any more antibiotics.

  • As you have broken tooth and now gum has started growing on that, it is better you get the treatment done now. You are in 2nd trimester which is comparatively safer. It is not always that you have to go for extraction if the tooth is broken. There are other options available like root canal treatment followed by post and core and crown. These treatments are very safe. So schedule an appointment with your dentist and get the treatment done.
