Should you have a tooth extracted if there is an infection and prescibed an antibiotic?

  • It depends on how much infection is there and whether the tooth can be restored or not. If the tooth is restorable and infection can be controlled then it is better to save the tooth by doing root canal treatment followed by dental crown on top of that.
