Throbbing pain in gum line that is in a space where there is no teeth. Could I have an abscess.

  • May  be you have gum infection or or adjacent tooth is infected and the infection is coming out that area. You have to get an xray done for that area and sometimes broken root or the part of the tooth which is left inside can cause the infection. So it is difficult to comment on this without clinical exam and xrays. So schedule a visit to your dentist and till then you can do warm saline rinses 2-3 times and keep good oral hygiene.
