I took my son for a dental check up to find he has 4 cavaties, all in the back molars. The dentist wants to fill them & use nitros. I am not happy with this. I think filling them if he is going to loose them anyway doesnt make sense to me. Also the nitros as i remember was tramuatizing for me at 8, let alone 4. Can you suggest an alternative? Thank you very much.

  • You have to get the fillings done even if they are baby teeth and they have to go. The back teeth are replaced by the adult teeth at the age of approx. 10 to 11 years and your son is just 4 years old. So you have to save the baby teeth till that age and for that you have to get them filled. If you do not want nitrous then you can go for sedation.
