I had a root canal two weeks ago. My doctor has borken an istrument into my teeth( it is like a pin in X.ray) . The intrument (pin) is half in the teeth and half touching my gum.( I have seen this in the the x.ray). Kindly tell me that is it harmful ?

  • It is quite common. Instruments do break in the root canals but endodontists are sometimes able to remove it. You can go to some endodontist to get it removed. As such if the canal is already prepared and sterile then it can be filled as such also as these instruments donot cause any harm. If there are  no symptoms like pain and swelling then it can filled like this also.
