Please help! My 15 yr old daughter has braces and is being told that bonding may be the solution to close gaps or spaces in her upper front teeth. I do not want her to do this simply for aesthetics, and she will not listen. Please help! Manuel A. Obalde Jr.

  • Going for bonding for closing the gaps in front teeth is a temporary solution as bonding is not permanent. If she has braces then braces will take care to close the gaps in the front teeth. The braces will close the gap but chances of replapse are always there and for this she has to wear the retainer for that and it will be better if she opts for fixed retainers. I donot understand that if she is getting the braces treatment done then why to close the gaps with bonding. for more info on gaps in front teeth you can read this article... http://www.identalhub.com/dental-dealing-with-a-gap-tooth-566.aspx
