3 weeks back I had my number 18th tooth extracted. But since 10 days, I am having pain on number 19th tooth when biting peanut or mcdonals hash brown? I visited oral surgeon who has removed my number 18th tooth. He said that its normal and it would go away after sometime. He also there is no problem with 19th tooth. Please advise

  • The pain can be because of adjacent extraction socket of #19. So wait for sometime. Let it heal. It may take around 2-3 weeks for complete healing. Till then you should maintain good oral hygiene, avoid eating from that side and do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day. If the pain is increasing and it is after 2-3 weeks then you have to visit your oral surgeon to find out if there is any infection in #19 otherwise the pain will go gradually. for more info on problems after tooth extraction you can check this link... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-tooth-extraction-27.aspx
