If it is PFM crown then the black spot can be due chipping of porcelain as porcelain is fused to metal and sometimes porcelain is chipped off and metal can be seen which is normally silverish black in color. But if it is not a crown but the normal natural tooth you are talking about then the black spot can be due to some decay and in this case you have to get it restored. So visit your dentist and find out and if it is on PFM crown and you are not aesthetically concerned then no treatment is needed otherwise you have to get it replaced and if it is decay then you will need filling. for more info on dental crown you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-dental-crowns-72.aspx
