i have an appt. tomorrow to see a dentist for a lost filling which is causing pain and discomfort. being of limited financial statis, what would be less expensive: to have the molar extracted (half is missing) or to have a new filling put in?

  • it is always better to preserve the natural tooth. So it is better to get it filled. For this you can go to a general dentist who will cost you less. If you go for tooth extraction then you have to get the tooth replaced and that will cost you much more. So if the tooth can be saved with filling then it is better to get it filled.
