I have a question about craze lines. I have vertical lines on my front teeth that are transparent in color compare to the rest of the tooth. Is this something to be concerned about? the teeth dont hurt. I have had them for years but just read about craze lines

Craze lines are minor cracks that are superficial and affect the outer enamel of the tooth only and are common in all adults. These lines do not cause any pain and hence no treatment is needed. They mainly occur due to the normal wear and tear on teeth. You should take care to keep your teeth clean, and get regular check-ups to watch badly cracked ones. However, to reduce the appearance of the craze lines, a dentist can gently polish the area to smooth the tooth.
