I had my wisdom teeth pulled an my mother asked me if the dentist stitch the hole up where my wisdom teeth came out of. The dentist did not but then other family memebers say they dont do that anymore.Im curious which answer is it.

  • Stitching after extraction depends upon the type of extraction. Its not compulsary that the stitching is always done. If the tooth came out without causing much damage to the soft tissues than there is no need for sutures. In your case it seems that the extraction was not that much traumatic and the healing will occur properly. You just need to take care not to spit or smoke.
