I had a Frenectomy on my lower lip this past Monday. Stitches were put in and I am scheduled to get the stitches removed Monday the 9th. I have been in exchrushiating pain since the procedure. I have not been able to eat, drink, talk, sleep because of the pain. I was prescribed (2 days after the procedure) Vicodin and penicillin. The Vicodin does nothing but make me sick. I've even tried taking just half but still, I was throwing up for hours. I have no way to get in touch with my dentist until Monday. Is this amount of pain normal? Please, any advice will help....

  • In case of frenectomy for the lower lip the pain is more as the lower jaw is mobile. If you are not able to take vicodin you can take any other pain killer or do warm saline rinses. Take soft food or the liquids more.for more info on frenectomy you can visit the following link.....http://www.identalhub.com/article_what-is-frenum-or-frenectomy-83.aspx
