I have the following condition in my right wisdom tooth: http://oi47.tinypic.com/244wbx4.jpg I have intermittent pain (mostly mild), and also pain in my right ear. No swelling, no fever, no discomfort with cold/hot liquids. My insurance only covers dental treatment in case of "severe disease of the masticatory organ or if treatment becomes necessary because of a serious general illness". I am not sure if my condition fulfills any of those. How long can I wait before going to a dentists? what kind of treatment can I expect? what can I do in the meantime so it doesn't get worse? Thanks!

  • From your tooth's picture, it is clearly carious with food debris lodged inside. Before getting your case worsened i would recommend you to get it filled from an endodontics. Also it is you most posterior tooth so it would be quite beneficial if you could get it treated ASAP as the extensive treatment at that region is quite tough and painful too.....For more info on dental filling visit the link...http://www.identalhub.com/article_average-cost-of-dental-filling-449.aspx
