I have a molar on the bottom right side with a cavity between it and the last molar. There is a portion of what I think is my gums peeking up through the space where the cavity is and is painful when pressure is applied. What does this mean

  • When the cavity is there between two teeth then food lodgement is there which causes the gum infection between the two teeth and this causes the growth of gingiva in that area. For this you have to schedule a visit to your dentist and get xrays done to find out the extent of decay.
