I have a dry socket from getting my wisdom teeth out last week. My oral surgeon packet it with something that helped the pain this morning. However, the pain is returning now (it's been about 12 hours) and I think the stuff he packed it with might have come out. I'm going back to the office tomorrow to have it repacked anyway, but is there anything I can do in the meantime? Euganol and pain pills don't seem to be helping.

  • You yourself cannot do anything as the dentist has packed your dry socket with drysocket paste which helps in healing. So the dentist can only repack it. However in the meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene and donot eat anything from that side and if warm saline rinses help, then you can do that. You can take meds given by your dentist and follow all the instructions given by your dentist. for more info on dry socket, you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/article_what-is-dry-socket-879.aspx
