Hello. Im going to get damon braces in a month but i just realise there is a new grown canine adult tooth growing on the top of my gum!i think this is because the baby tooth is still in there. So far, only a little bit of the tooth has come out. Do i have to wait until it is fully grown for the damon braces to be placed on or i can get it next month, on the day i have an appointment?thank you.

  • You just go ahead with the scheduled appointment. Your dentist will take care of baby tooth and decide whether the adult canine has to be included in the braces or it has to be given some time to grow. Normally if space is there then they leave the tooth to grow but if the space is not there then space has to be created before the canine is pulled down in the alignment. So go ahead with braces.
