I have absessed tooth. My cheek is swolen up pretty bad. What are the concerns and what should I do till I can get to a dentist? I am taking Amoxiclav. Is it safe to take ibuprofen for the swelling with Amoxiclav and how much?

  • With Amoxiclav you can take ibuprofen for swelling and pain. It is quite safe. You can take sos but the frequency depends on potency. Till you visit your dentist, avoid eating from that side and maintain good oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day, this will help. You have to take proper dosage of meds and for that you have to visit your dentist. for more info on facial swelling with tooth infection you can read this article.. http://www.identalhub.com/dental-facial-swelling-due-to-tooth-infection-940.aspx
