I work up this morning with a painful boil on my gum above my right front tooth. Yesterday teh tooth had a lot of pressure behind it. Both front teeth are capped. I got the boil to drain and am taking Clindamycin I had left from a few weeks ago for another bactrial infection. Do I need to call my dentist immediately or can it wait till the office opens Tuesday morning? I am not in pain since it opened up and drained.

  • If the boil has been opened and drained out then you don't need to worry. The condition will gradually subside. You continue to follow the course of medications that has been prescribed to you. Also start doing warm saline gargles and avoid eating anything spicy as it will aggravate your condition.
