Hi, I had root canal work on the tooth next to my wisdom tooth, Is it really necessary to have a veneer put on afterwards? The tooth cant be seen, so I don't really care about the aesthetics.

  • You must be talking about the crowns. Veneers are put in the front teeth as they partially covers the tooth and are mainly for the aesthetic purposes. Crowns are put to protect the tooth as it covers the tooth from all sides. After root canal treatment it is advisable to go for the crown as the tooth becomes brittle and there are chances that it will break. so it is better you go for the crown after root canal treqatment a. It is not for aesthetic purpose but to save the tooth. For more info on dental crowns you cn visit the following link on our website...
