My daughter just turned 1years old and only has 2 teeth. It seems like her mouth hurts like she's teething but no new teeth. Is this normal?

  • Some children have delayed dental age. If at the age of 12 months, she just has 2 teeth then there is nothing to worry about. You cannot compare the dental age of two children. If you are very apprehensive then you can visit a Pedodontist and get an xray done to see the position of the underlying teeth. Teething babies often find it soothing to have their gums rubbed.Just gently rub your baby's gums with the pad of your finger (clean,of course)for a few minutes at a time.Cold food items are perfect for soothing a teething baby. For more info on dentition you can read this article wherein details of eruption of all teeth is explained... http://www.identalhub.com/dental-tooth-development-and-eruption-933.aspx
