6 months ago I had a root canal and crown and now I have touch sensitivity and some pressure when chewing. My dentist said because an eye tooth has a longer root it may take longer for the tooth to settle down. Your thoughts

  • After 6 months of root canal treatment and crowning there should not be any pain or pressure or sensitivity even if it is eye tooth with longer root. Maximum it takes around 3-6 week for the tooth to settle down. Normally the tooth settles down after 2-3 days only. If the pain is there even after 6 months then either the crown is high or root canal is not done properly and there is infection. Now you have to go to dentist and find out the cause. If the crown is high then occlusal adjustment is done by selective grinding but if root canal is not done properly then  re-root canal treatment has to be done.
