Hello, I had a wisdom tooth and a molar removed on Thursday morning, and it's now Monday, and I have a terrible taste coming from the removal site. I don't think it's a dry socket, because pain is not bad. I seem to be healing pretty normal, but this bad taste coming from the removal site is awful. I was wondering if I maybe have an infection or something. Thank you!

  • If you don't have any pain and discomfort then it is unlikely that you have infection. Bad taste after extraction that too wisdom tooth is quiet normal. For this maintain very good oral hygiene as normally this is because of food impaction and can lead to infection if you are not careful. Brush after every meal and do warm saline rinses 3 to 4 times a day. It will take care of your bad taste . for more information on this you can check this link on our website  http://www.identalhub.com/article_problems-after-removal-of-wisdom-teeth-254.aspx
