I am pregnant in the first month. I have wisdom teeth infection. the dentist described the Cephalexin 500 GM to stop the infection. I asked him about how safe is it to use it while pregnancy, his answer made me more stressed about that. He said it is better not to use it while pregnancy, but we have to before the infection leads to serious problems. Does that mean this medicine is not safe for my baby? I am afraid of the congenital defects???

  • Normally the drugs are avoided during pregnancy but in certain conditions when the infection is there then one has o take the antibiotics or the pain killers for the conditions. The antibiotics prescribed are very safe . they do not cause any harm but still if you are apprehensive you can discuss with your gynaec before taking them.
