Today, a small piece of "string" came out from under a recently placed temporary crown. From research, I believe it is "dental cord" used to prepare for my permanent crown which will be installed on Tuesday 11/2. If it is dental cord, is it okay that it came out?

  • If you are going to have the permanent crown installed in a couple of days then it is o.k. Normally retraction cord is placed to take the impression for the permanent crown . If temporary crown is in place then the space created by the cord will be maintained .  So there is nothing to worry. just maintain good orl hygiene. for more info on dental crowns you can visit the following link on our website.....
