Had to have a crown Haput on tooth #18 several months ago. Had sensitivity for sometime. Had to see R.C. Specialist. He told me to use a special preevent dent toothpaste for several weeks , but now my temporary crown has come off and it has turned black and my tooth has turned black still have sensitivity today well I need a root canal?

  • It looks like you got the crown on # 18 tooth without getting the root carnal treatment done and the crown was also temporary. As you had sensitivity in that tooth and the tooth has also turned black, you definitely need a root canal treatment in that tooth. The sensitivity is because of the infection of the tooth. When the infection infects the pulp there is sensitivity and sometimes the tooth turns black as it is in your case.
