Hello, Two months ago I sent you a question about my tooth abscess, that was previously nerves extracted 12 years ago, and I'd like to thank you very much for your valuable advice to keep my tooth, I went to a root specialist and told him about the solutions you gave me, and he told me that it is possible to do the "root re-treatment", but it would take some time to treat the abscess I took 4 sets till now with him, the last one was 2 weeks ago, and I will give you a brief description about what he did: Set1: (18-8-2009) He drilled the old fill only, and filled the tooth with a temporary fill. Set2: (27-8-2009) He drilled the temporary fill and reached the roots canals then he injected some Alkali liquid through the roots. Set3: (5-9-2009) He drilled the temporary fill and injected the same liquid through the roots. Set4: (7-10-2009) Same as set3 He is asking me now for more sets to do the same thing every 2-3 weeks (injecting that liquid), so, my question is: is his method is right? Best Regards, Abdulrahman Yassin

  • As the previous root canal teatment was 12 years old and there was abcess , the re root canal treatment will take some time as it is very important to remove the old root canal filling and that is removed by dissolving it. Your dentist is just trying to do that. If you want to know more about the reroot canal treatment you can read the following article...........http://www.identalhub.com/article_root-canal-re-treatment-304.aspx
