Hello, Iam currently about 8 weeks pregnant and my wisdom tooth seems to be erupting, causing me a huge amount of pain for the past 4 days. Today it is getting unbearable as my gums have swollen and i cannot close my mouth all the way. I have already tried sevral teething gels one is called SM33 i rince with savacol 3-4 times a day, salt water and have tried home remedies like garlic cloves etc.. i dont know what to do beacuse my dentist have advised me to wait as an xray and sedation is not recommended while been pregnant, i need to help myself as well and make sure my baby wont be harmed and is safe...please give me some advise.   • If your gum is swollen in the area of wisdom tooth that means it is getting infected. For this you can ask your dentist to write you some pain killer and antibiotics which are safe in pregnancy and keep doing the warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You have to go for xray taking all the precautions to find out whether the tooth is impacted or there is sufficient space for eruption. This will decide the treatment plan.
