I've been wanting to have straight teeth without the gaps for a good portion of my life. I'm a freshman in college, so the problem now with getting braces of some sort is cost. Do you know if there's a way to do a payment plan with orthodontists? Also, another major problem is one of my teeth. A long time ago I got a root canal and the dentist never put a cap or anything on my tooth and at this point half of the tooth is missing, or fallen out, and I don't even think much of the filler is left with my tooth. What could I do about that so that I could get braces? Would it have to be ripped out? I want to have good looking teeth, but the money issue is the biggest problem, do you know what I can do that will be the easier and less stressful?

  • You can discuss with your dentist and find out about some payment plan. Normally for braces as the payment is huge they have some or the other payent plan in which you can pay in installments and to get the treatment becomes easy. Regarding your root canal treated tooth, you have to show to the orthodontist who after seeing the case i.e. whether the space is required or not will decide about that tooth. if the space is needed then may be that tooth can be pulled out but if you already have the spaced dentition then you have to get the capping before you start with the treatment.
