I've been really worried with the problem of using whitening toothpaste while having braces on will cause any stains? I always google it, and go to yahoo answers. It's just so confusing in what one should believe. So, I want to hear it from someone with expierence. And I'm a bit shy to ask my ortho just because she doesn't really pay aattention to her patients.

  • If you are having braces, it is better not to use whitening toothpaste as the area which is covered will not be whitened and when the braces are removed, the tooth can give patchy appearance. During the braces treatment, do proper brushing and maintain very good oral hyg because as such not much of the tooth surface is visible. After getting the braces removed you can go for whitening toothpaste if you want.
