I have a swollen gum at the very end of the wisdom teeth (right). It is really big and have been having this for 2 days now. I tried gargling with hot, salted water and also tried chewing clove but none of this helped. Can you please suggest some remedies for this?. Thank you.

  • You have not mentioned whether wisdom tooth is erupted or impacted. In any case swelling means you have infection in the area. For this you have to go to dentist. After seeing he will give you antibiotics and suggest you treatment. If the tooth is impacted then you have to go for extraction. If it is already erupted and there is no decay then may be you have gum problem around the tooth. The warm saline rinses will only help you till you go to the dentist. You can also use any antimicrobial mouthwash (chlorhexdine).
