What is the maximum number of teeth that can be replaced with a fixed bridge? front teeth have seperated, bonding is 25 years old,and both front teeth have had root canals. I have a terrible gag reflex and loathe the thought of dentures, so have avoided dental work for years. Can a fixed bridge be used for upper teeth?

  • For thre bridge the number and the status of the teeth giving the support matters. The support giving teeth are called as abutment teeth and the teeth which has to be replacesd are called pontics. So after seeing the case it is decided that how many teeth can be used. But in your case the fixed bridge an easily be used for the front teeth if the supporting teeth are fine.
