Hello, I was currently browsing your website on dentistryonbay.com and I was wondering if you could possibly answer my question. I recently went in to see a surgical dentist because two of my wisdom teeth were giving me pain and was told to remove them. Unfortunately, the cost is extremely high for me to pay right now and I need to wait atleast 2 more months before I can afford to have them removed. I know that there are some problems involved when waiting besides pain but if I continue to brush and floss extremely well each night, will I be able to avoid a cyst or infection? Is there any physcial symptoms of an infection and is there any way that I can avoid this for the next two months? Thank you for your time and help- Gizelle

  • It is better to get is pulled as soon as possible but if you want to wait then try to keep the area very clean and maintain good oral hyg. Physical signs of infection are pain, swelling and redness of the area and these can be avoided if there is no food impaction and do warm saline rinses 2 times a day. This will help in not having the infection and you can pass 2 months.
