I very first got my braces about two and a half years ago, due to cost issues my mom stoped taking me to the orthodontist so my braces stayed on for about a year and a half. My dad picked up the cost and I started going back to the orthodontist, and after some time my treatment was over and I got my braces removed. I never got a retainer and I am very worried about my teeth moving around again and becoming crooked, then again I'm not that worried because there was that year and a half time when I just had the braces on. I was oringially supposed to just have brace for a year but all together I had them for about two and a half years. Does it sound like I will be okay?

  • You should get the retainers as the treatment which was done before is o.k. as after that you had the braces for one and half year as the retainer. But what about the movement of the teeth which took afterwards. So it is better not to take the risk and get the retainers otherwise the movement of the teeth is going to take place. If you want to know more about the retainers after braces you can browse our website as enough info is available on retainers like about the fixed retainers and the removable type of retainers
