My husband has Type II diabetes and has upper dentures. Every few weeks, he complains that the dentures are uncomfortable. He goes back to the dentist for adjustments, but he can only wear them for a short period of time. Is the diabetes causing this problem?

  • If the diabetes is controlled then the problem with dentures cannot be because of diabtese. some tmes when the patient has upper complete denture and lower teeth are natural then occlusion is not properly adjusted and patient remains uncomfortable. With our seeing the case clnically it is difficult to comment. But definitely if he is uncmfortable and can not wear the denture for long then he has some problem. He can try using soft reliners.
