My ten year old son is starting to get his 12 Year Molars. He has been having a lot of headaches but no gum pain. One tooth has just started to come through. Could you please tell me if headaches are normal while getting teeth? He's been to see his pediatrician and they cannot find anything, other than allergies, that would cause the headaches. Thank you for you help!

  • Sometimes during eruption of teeth especially when it is difficult there is swelling on the gums and child complains of pain in the temple region of that side but it is not generalised headache. If he is having frequent bouts of headache then it is better you show to the Pedodontist who will take the xray and see whether eruption of tooth is normal or difficult and if there is any localised infection. Ask your child to do warm saline rinses 2 times a day as this will help in the case of infection.
