i had undergone root canal treatment two months back and after the filling the caps were fixed.four days back i had pizza and some thing struck near the tooth where i had undergone the treatment. now the entire area is painful and i took some pain killers and antibiotics. still the pain continues .can you suggest me a remedy for this or should i consult a dentist again .

  • Along with meds you should do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day and if the pain does not subside in 2-3 days then you have to visit your dentist. The pain because of food impaction or just a trauma should go but if there is some other problem like some cavity in adjacent tooth or some infection in the tooth which is already root canal treated then only dentist can tell you after taking xray and examination.
