Hi, I used to have swollen gums but they got better and are a lttle pink again. While I had swollen gums I had a shifting/loose tooth and my gums got better except that. I'm going to see a dentist but is there really a treatment for teens fixing loose/shifting teeth? Because I really don't want to lose it. And if there is a treatment does it Hurt?

  • The shifting and lose teeth are because of gum problem. When the gums infected ie when you develop periodontal problem along with bone loss you have lose teeth with shiting. For this you have to go for the treatment of gums. The dentist will do Deep Scaling and Root Planning and if needed bone grafting has to be done or Flap surgery has to be done. When the gums become strong enough and the lost bone is formed then the lose teeth will become firm but the teeth which have already shifted can be treated afterwards with orthodontic treatment (braces).
